POHJANMAAN IS THE SOFA BED SPECIALIST

The Pohjanmaan sofa collection includes many different sofa beds and bed mechanisms. The bed mechanism often changes the feel of the sofa’s seat, making it firmer, because the folding bed mechanism (Basic, King, Luxus and American bed mechanisms) is installed in place of flexible No-zag springs. A sofa equipped with a bed mechanism is also heavier than a normal sofa. The Basic and American mechanisms can also be fitted in certain corner sofa models. Sofa beds in which the mechanism is a part of the fixed structure were originally designed for both sitting and sleeping. The bed mechanism should be selected based on the intended degree of usage.

DOLPHIN BED MECHANISM

Available in the Smart divan bed. Under the seat, there is an additional part that raises to the height of the sofa seat, thereby forming a 138 x 200 cm bed. A linen drawer located in the divan section.

DUO BED MECHANISM

An especially high-quality bed mechanism comprised of two separate parts. The sofa’s seat can turn into a single bed by lifting and pulling the seat forward. Another bed is located underneath the seat itself. The two sections can be combined to form one double bed or two separate single beds.

EASY DELUXE BED MECHANISM

A more developed version of the Easy bed mechanism. It forms the sofa bed in the same way (the seat is lifted up and forward and the back rest is folded forward), but the springs in this model make it especially easy to move the seat. The walnut-coloured linen box is standard.

EASY BED MECHANISM

The Easy bed mechanism is standard in all Beat, Easy and Tempo sofa bed models. A similar mechanism is also used in Chris, Chico, Oasis and Star module sofas. Guests sleep lengthwise on the sofa bed. Well suited for spaces in which there is not a great deal of room for the mechanism to open. Feels like a normal sofa.

The American model is a roll-out mechanism, as is the Basic model, but the American has an additional 12 cm-thick, high-quality spring mattress and a firmer base and frame.

BASIC BED MECHANISM

The Basic and American mechanisms are similar in type. The difference between them is that the Basic bed mechanism comes with a 6-cm thick foam mattress. Available in most models.

PRESTO BED MECHANISM

The Presto sofa bed is ideal for small spaces. The bed also contains a linen box.
